We’re getting married! We couldn’t be more excited to start our journey together, and what’s better: we get to share that moment with you! It’ll be your typical run-of-the-mill pier-hovering-over-the-atlantic kind of wedding, followed by good food, heaps of chumminess, and voluntary celebratory dancing. Our hope is that your time in OBX will be a respite for you—with a wedding ceremony on the side.

If you’re curious, the two of us met in the fall of 2017, just as Houston was drying after Hurricane Harvey. Natalie had just returned from NZ, with just enough time to pick up food supplies before the storm started moving inland. Tucker had decided to stay in Houston through the storm, worried that he hadn’t gotten around to buying renter’s insurance for his new apartment. We met up as soon as the streets were dry again — and we've had many more dates since!

You might say that it took a 1,000-year flood event, an obscure app, a nonstop transpacific flight, and a curiosity for design, photography, fonts, tacos, and classical music (of course!) to bring us together. Or you might say it was simply a miracle.

We chose the Outer Banks ("OBX") to celebrate because it has been a special place for Tucker growing up. Since age 6, his family has vacationed in OBX. It’s his family’s “spot”. Natalie’s never been, but for the amount of wedding research she’s done, she pretty much knows every neighborhood and stretch of beach by now.
